Poor Rolo, he’s such a tool.
Reminds me of Last Exile…
Hurray for Loli Emperors!
Now witness the power of this fully armed and operational battle station!
Need… more… Code Geass toys!
All it needs is a recharge beam thing and it’s Impulse!
V.V. looks awfully like…
^_^

Another week, another new episode of Code Geass. As has been the pattern of this show of late, the cliffhanger from last episode was fully resolved by the first few minutes of this episode, with Rolo geassing Suzaku so that Lulu gets to tell Nunally to pretend to not know him. She’s surprisingly smart about this and not completely baffled by it all. I guess she’s less helpless than she looks.

The episode follows as the Order of Black Knights gets suckered into ‘capturing’ Nunally, the new governor of Area 11. Those poor guys dying and they don’t even know the real reason for this assault. It is also revealed that V.V. is the emperor’s brother which adds for an interesting plot twist for the later episodes (as Jason notes, perhaps V.V. is Lulu’s REAL father). The operation is initially successful with Lulu easily reaching Nunally in her flying capital ship but is spoiled when the Knights of Round come to save the day and easily beat back the Order. After much new plamo showing Kallen gets pummeled by Suzuku only to retaliates with a newly upgraded Guran of her own.

Meanwhile aboard Nunally’s capital ship she reveals to Zero that she wants to continue on Euphie’s plan for a special zone for the Japanese in Area 11, and Lulu hesitates to reveal his true identity to her. The episode ends with Suzuku rescuing Nunally, and her screaming out his name as Lulu realizes that she’s carrying his love child.

Overall, it was a pretty average episode. It seemed like the purpose of this episode was more to show off the new Knightmare frames than anything else, although the few bits of plot thrown in (including the 20 second conversation between Lulu and Nunally) were not insignificant. Of note is that this episode doesn’t end in a cliffhanger. Other than that I hope Diethard gets more screentime, man I love his manic laughter.

LOLOLOL - Nunnally’s words were certainly as powerful as the Death Star’s planet killing main gun in piercing into Lelouch’s core!

  2. Epi Says:

Nunally is one raspy voice away from turning to the dark side, you just watch Zyl!

  3. Kabitzin Says:

This talk of evil Nunnally makes me fear that at the critical moment she will open her eyes and Geass everyone (before hitting Zero with Sith lightning)…
